Shepherd Accountants Limited are qualified accountants based in Southwater, Horsham in West Sussex, regulated by the Certified Public Accountants Association.

Due to our extensive knowledge across all sectors and industries, our clients are confident that their tax affairs are in safe hands. We recognise that each client has different needs, tailoring our services to the client’s needs and requirements. Both Dean and Tom like having a hands-on approach and spend a lot time getting to know their clients.

Meet the Team

Dean Shepherd ACPA - Director

Dean has over 10 years’ experience working in the industry. Dean started his career working for a local authority, before making the move to public practice accounting.

He has held several positions, ranging from an Apprentice to a Senior Accountant responsible for the day-to-day management of a small accountancy practice. The latter was a position he held for over 7 years and was instrumental in the rapid growth of the company. The practice doubled in size during Dean’s involvement.

This gave him the experience and confidence to start a new challenge, which is when Shepherd Accountants Limited was established in 2014.

Dean is qualified and regulated by the Certified Public Accountants Association.

Tom McKiddie MAAT ACPA - Director

Tom has over 10 years’ experience working in the industry. Tom has a distinguished career working with SME’s and larger companies.

He worked for the one of the largest accountancy practices in the UK for 8 years, holding positions from Junior Accountant to Accountancy Service Manager responsible for a team of 40 accountants. During this time the accountancy practice won numerous awards whilst growing from 300 to 10,000 clients.

In April 2019 an opportunity arose to join lifelong friend Dean, at Shepherd Accountants Limited. Tom wants to bring his experience and knowledge with him to help grow Shepherd Accountants Limited in a sustainable way whilst never deviating away from providing great customer service.

Tom is qualified and regulated by the Certified Public Accountants Association.
